1. When did you start your entrepreneurial journey and how was it?

I started my journey as an entrepreneur at the age of 19, after my high school education. It was the toughest decision I have ever made, I took the risk and sacrificed everything.

2. What are the challenges you face in your business?

The challenges I face in my office are from my staff, some of them are not happy that I’m running the business because I’m a young woman who they believe has no business knowledge. The challenges I face is that, there are other business centres who also create interesting concepts to make a difference in society.

3. What are your future plans for your business?

I want to make the De Kona Lodge one of the best hotels in Sierra Leone and also create the avenue to employ more young people.

Yes, I do have a lot of competition.

5. What advice do you have to the youth?

My advice to the youth is for them to challenge themselves, take risks, believe in themselves, have a vision, face their fears, learn from their mistakes and set their goals. Being a successful entrepreneur takes a lot of hard work and perseverance.
